pWATERTOWN — State police found materials used to make methamphetamine Tuesday on the roadside of county Route 63 in the town of Watertown. /ppRobert S. Griffin, an investigator for Syracuse-based state police, said police responded to a report by an area resident at about 4:30 p.m. of suspicious materials disposed on the roadside across from 20099 County Route 63. He said police found a clear Mason jar with a liquid that tested positive for methamphetamine. The jar also contained a coffee filter. /ppMr. Griffin said police were unable to determine who may have committed the act. “My personal opinion is that someone drove by and threw it out the window,” he said. “Unfortunately, it’s becoming common occurrence” in the region, according to Mr. Griffin. /ppTroopers were aided at the scene by the state Police Contaminated Crime Emergency Response Team./p
