pLOWVILLE — The Lewis County Department of Motor Vehicles has extended its hours through a new pilot program./ppNew hours at the office, located on 7049 Route 12 in the town of Martinsburg, are now 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with computer hours ending at 3:30 p.m./ppUnder the program, slated to run through November, two workers would work from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., while two others would work from 8:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m., according to Legislator Philip C. Hathway, R-Harrisville./pp“When registering locally, 12.7 percent of each transaction stays in Lewis County,” states a release from the Lewis County clerk’s office. “This revenue helps to keep our taxes lower.”/ppCustomers may also utilize drop boxes by the front doors of the DMV building and county office building at 7660 N.
