pBROWNVILLE — A large group of supporters lined the streets near the Brownville Fire Hall on Saturday in honor of Edward Guldin, a wounded Fort Drum veteran, who will soon move into an accessible home built in the town./ppMr. Guldin, who served as an infantryman with 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, a href="http://www.watertowndailytimes.com/news03/brownville-event-to-introduce-wounded-fort-drum-veterans-homebuilding-project-to-community-video-20160419"lost both of his legs above the knees and injured his arms in June 2011 after stepping on/a an improvised explosive device during a patrol in Zharay, Afghanistan./ppMr. Guldin currently lives in Adams Center with his wife Amanda and daughter Khloe, and the pair is expecting another child in October. The former specialist told the Times his current home doesn’t allow him full access to areas like the bathroom and basement./ppThe new home is being funded by Homes for Our Troops, which pays for the home through a combination of a Specially Adapted Housing grant from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and private contributions./p
