GOUVERNEUR — Two Ogdensburg residents were each charged with felony third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine by village police on May 14.

James R. Petrie, 35, and Natasha M. Petrie, 29, were also each charged with felony unlawful disposal of methamphetamine laboratory equipment material.

The charges stem from an incident on May 2 at 112 William St., where the couple allegedly had intent to use or knew another intended to use products to unlawfully manufacture, prepare or produce methamphetamines. Additionally, the methamphetamine laboratory materials were allegedly unlawfully disposed of, creating a substantial risk to human life.

The St. Lawrence County Sheriff Department’s Drug Task Force, Ogdensburg City Police Department and state police helped assist with the arrest.

Mr. and Mrs. Petrie were arraigned in town court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond.
