pOGDENSBURG — Ogdensburg Moose Lodge 814 will give parents a way to help find missing children more quickly in the case of an abduction or other emergency./ppThe Lodge, 609 Pickering St., will hold an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for parents and their children to take part in a safety registration program using a computer software program known as the “Safe Surfin Child ID System.” /ppThe new digital identification system is designed to help parents instantly provide law enforcement officials with information contained in a ready-to-use digital format should a child go missing. There is no charge for the Saturday session but children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian./ppMembers of the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department and other law enforcement officers will be on hand to take a child’s fingerprints, vital information, photograph and audio files to be stored on a USB flash drive which becomes the property of the parents./p
